Champ comes across as the most masculine of the team due to his intense love of sports, signature catchphrase ("Whammy!") and sexist outlook on the workplace. He is enthusiastic, eager, happy, cheerful, and excitable. He inspires famous sportscaster Brent Musburger.

Champ is Ron's co worker and friend, he is the KVWN sports news reporter and it seems that he has hidden feelings for Ron and expresses some level of bi-curiosity. At the end of the movie it is said he became a commentator for the NFL before getting fired after being accused by Terry Bradshaw of sexual harassment.

Years later in the second film it is show that Champ was fired from Channel 4 and set up a fried chicken restaurant that secretly sold fried bats to save money.
