Brian Fantana is an anchorman and coworker of Ron Burgundy. He is known for being a ladies' man (or at least trying to be) and is infamous for his "Sex Panther" cologne which he says is made from bits of real panther. He is funny, smart, humorous, goofy, loving, formerly grouchy, brainy, formerly cranky, impatient, formerly grumpy, short-tempered, and silly. He is one of the two secondary tritagonists of Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and Anchorman 2. He is also one of the tritagonists of Wake Up Ron Burgundy He was played by Paul Rudd.

Appearance

Brian Fantana has dark hair, a dark mustache, green eyes, and seems to be in his thirties. He is short, and has a suave look to him. He often wears 1970s style suits.

Personality

Brian Fantana is sleazy around women, but generally clueless as to how to woo them. Nevertheless, he is extremely confident and believes he can have any woman. Brian has a variety of different cologne scents and condoms, showing that he is not only cocky in his abilities but prepared for anything that may come his way. Unfortunately, Brian isn't as popular with women as he makes himself out to be.

Despite that, Brian is a good and loyal friend to his coworkers, especially Ron Burgundy. For example, Brian is the first of the team to talk to Ron after he has been fired and replaced by Veronica Corringstone. This same situation shows that Brian is one of the more calm and compassionate characters in the series; he stops both Champion "Champ" Kind and Brick Tamland from confronting Ron and losing their jobs.

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy

Brian is Ron's friend and fellow co worker of Ron. He is over-sexed, conceited and stylish. He uses his cologne Sex Panther to try to woo Veronica but fails but triggers fire alarms and senses of fellow co-workers. When Ron was fired from the News Station he talks to Ron and says that Harken will fire him, Champ, and Brick if he talks to him and so he leads the news team away from Ron. Later when the News Team is reassembled He along the News Team defend Ron and Veronica from bears unsuccessfully. At the end it is said that he hosts his own TV show on FOX Network.  

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues  

Several years after the first film Brian is now a world know famous cat photographer.
